Goal of Training
: With a focus on library users’ needs, this full-day training provides an overview of best practices in User Centered Design and Usability. The training combines usability research with real-world examples and explores with participants how to create a great user experience for library web sites.

Participants will also learn techniques and methods to conduct their own usability testing, including how to go about collecting user information to enhance the user experience of library web sites.

Training Participants: This training is designed for individuals who play a role in the creation and management of library web sites. The training allows for up to 25 students to enroll.

Finding out what your users want: Designing a Usability Test for your own library (practice oriented, hands on)
